Pedro Sors
Founder & Special Advisor of Avenger Flight Group (AFG)
“It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change”
Pedro Sors is the visionary behind Avenger Flight Group (AFG), which he founded in 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As the CEO of AFG for 11 years, Pedro was responsible for tracing the vision and strategy that led the company to become the largest privately-owned training organization in the world. AFG, through its boutique-style, low-cost model and high degree of agility, operates 13 training centers across six countries, providing Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training to a wide variety of airlines, including Ultra Low-Cost carriers and major airlines in the USA, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe. Pedro's leadership has helped AFG establish long-term relationships with key airlines, providing affordable, geographically desirable training solutions.
Before AFG, Pedro was the Founder and President of Flight Training Finance (FTF), where he pioneered simulator operating leases, bringing new and used simulators to airlines and executing sale-leasebacks of existing devices. Prior to FTF, Pedro served as the Founder, President, and CEO of Pan Am International Flight Academy (PAIFA), where he grew sales from $3.6 million to $82 million by 2000, expanding the company into a major competitor in the U.S. flight training industry. He successfully negotiated long-term agreements with over 100 of the world’s leading commercial carriers and training organizations.
Pedro holds a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Ohio State University and has held various senior-level positions in the aviation industry, including Executive Vice President of Operations, Maintenance, and Training for Linea Aeropostal Venezolana.
